History

1970's

Founder Taiji SHAKUDA, along with his wife Shizuko and a few craftsmen started OEM brush manufacturing.



1980

Mr. Taiji SHAKUDA established “Mizuho Brush Co., Ltd.”
In Dec., 1980 Taiji SHAKUDA designated as initial CEO.



1997

1 storey's brush factory was completed. Several warehouses were connected and expanded.



2003

Mizuho Brush Co., Ltd. established their selling division and founded a new affiliate company “Green Factory Inc.”



2004

Green Factory Inc. released 1st corporate brand “Hanacosme” on line. Hanacosme has become a very popular on-line product at department stores in Japan.
Mizuho Brush joined “Maison et objet exhibition in Paris” as a member of “Japan Brand” committee of Kumano town.



2005

Annual turnover grows to 235 mil. J Yen (as of June 2005).
Number of employees increase to 26.



2006

Second floor of factory was completed.
Annual turnover grows to 290 mil. J Yen (as of June 2006). Number of employee increases to 28.



2007

Mizuho Brush is certified as METI’ s designated project till 2012. Mizuho joins exhibitions in the U.S. (Anaheim, New York).
*METI : Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan.
Hanacosme acquires contract with J-shoppers as principal cosmetic brush brand of Japan.

Annual turnover : 303 mil JYen, Number of employee : 30 (Jun. 2007)



2008

Mizuho Brush executed brand new CI design. And also, the brand new corporate brand “Mizuho Brush” was released on line.
New corporate brand “Mizuho Brush” was designated as principal cosmetic brush brand at Japanese concept shop “Rin” in Omotesando, Tokyo.(feb)

First exhibition at Cosmoprof Asia 2008 (Hong kong)(Nov.)
Annual turnover : 274 mil JYen, Number of employee : 29 (Jun. 2008)




2009

Exhibition at Osaka International Gift Show. (Feb.)
Annual turnover : 242 mil JYen, Number of employee : 28 (Jun. 2009)
2nd exhibition at Cosmoprof Asia 2009.  (Nov. 2009)
Second annual Exhibition at Cosmoprof Asia 2009 in Hong Kong (Nov.)
Test marketing of "simply JAPAN" in Dubai Mall Star Atrium(Nov.)



2010

Exhibited at JFW International Fashion Fair in Tokyo Big Site (Jan.)
Test marketing at Nippon Kawaii Fair in Bangkok (Feb.)
Test marketing in Genova, Italy (Feb.)
Exhibited at Japan Pavilion, Expo 2010 Shanghai China (Sep.)
MB series, etc were launched at Makeup Secret retail shop in TST, Hong Kong
Annual turnover : 259 mil JYen , Number of employee : 29 (Jun. 2010)
Designated as a exhibitor of APEC JAPAN 2010 (Nov. 2010) by Japan Government.
3rd exhibition at Cosmoprof Asia 2010. (Nov.2010)
Celebrated 30th Anniversary of company establishment. (Dec. 2010)
Joined to JETRO Asia Caravan project (Dec. 2010)



2011

Annual turnover grows to 269 mil JYen, Number of employee : 29 (Jun. 2011)
Joined to JETRO Asia Caravan project (Dec. 2010 - )
Designated as a goods of pilot shop in Shanghai, China by CFSCIJ. (Aug. 2011)
MB series, etc were launched at ZIPANGU retail shop in Shanghai
MB series was selected and prized as a goods of "GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2011"(Nov. 2011)
4th exhibition at Cosmoprof Asia 2011.(Nov.2011)
